Apex was established on December 1st 2001 in the
MMORPG The Legend of Mir 2 - The Three Heroes. We soon rose to power and became
an integral part as a guild and as an ally in the Sabuk Wall sieges that took
place in the following years. Our biggest achievements being a record breaking
118 day reign over Sabuk Wall and finishing first in the only guild tournament
hosted by the game's GMs.
April 15th 2004 saw the next chapter for the Apex
clan as we created our Lineage II guild in the European closed beta. Our Lineage
II experience was short lived though as the news of a Legend of Mir 3 release
was too tempting for our Mir 2 players and in October 2004 we found ourselves
back in the lands of Mir in Wemade's latest creation.
Our past glories in Mir 2 aided quick progress in
Mir 3 and on November 9th 2004 we became the second guild to be formed on the
server. A few months later we became the first guild to conquer Desert Mud Wall
and reigned over the wall throughout the entire lifetime of the European version
of Mir 3, till it's closure ten months later. At the closure of Mir 3 Eu we also
occupied 25% of the server's top 100 highest levels and was the first and only
European guild to kill the Numa King, Tadanga.
In March 2005 our Alliance World of Warcraft guild
was formed on the European realm, Daggerspine where we stayed till a failing
population saw us migrating to Kazzak. Our Alliance guild is still going strong
today and after six years is currently our clan's longest running guild.
The closure of the European Mir 3 server in late
2005 left some of our members without a game to play. However with the release
of a new MMO, RF Online just around the corner many of us found ourselves in the
closed beta test and on 26th February formed an Apex guild in the RF Online open
beta.
In May 2005 an inbalanced race divide and lack of
endgame content in RF Online saw half of our RF players migrate to World of
Warcraft. However with an already established Apex guild progressing well as
the Alliance faction in World of Warcraft we decided it would be more beneficial
for us
to take on the steep learning curve at our own pace, thus our WoW-Horde guild was formed on the Xavius realm.
Our Horde guild got off to a slow start and found
it very difficult to get into 40-man raiding but our prayers were answered with
the release of the WoW expansion, The Burning Crusade and the introduction of
25-Man raiding. Since then our Horde guild has done well to progress through the
ever-expanding content and have since migrated to the higher populated
Stormscale realm.
In 2007 Apex expanded again into two new MMORPGs,
The Lord of the Rings Online on the Snowbourne server and Cabal on the Mecury
Server.
We expanded further in 2008 forming an Apex guild
on the Wildsoul server in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and on the
Karak-Hirn server in Warhammer Online: The Age of Reckoning. Unfortunately
neither game lived up to it's hype so we saw many members return to our already
established Mir 2, and World of Warcraft guilds. 2008 also saw the return of the
Legend of Mir 3 as a global server and with it the return of Apex, the final
nail in the coffin for both our Conan and Warhammer guilds.
2009 saw the release of 2 more MMOs and with them 2
more Apex guilds; Runes of Magic
on the Macantacht Server
and Aion on the Spatalos server. Our Aion guild is still going 3 years later
albeit after migrating to the higher populated Telemachus server.
In February 2010 Apex took on steep learning curve
and challenge of an already established 7 year history of CCP's space MMO Eve
Online. As expected our progress was bumpy but a year later Apex is flourishing
under it's newly formed alliance, Apex-Ardent Coalition.
In September 2010 Apex found a new home in the
global version of Aika Online where we successfully sieged the Britannia
nation's Lakian Fortress just 2 months later. We continued to reign over our
nation as part of the Lord Marshal Alliance for 4 months till a falling interest
in the game and it's lack of eng-game content saw many of our Aika members
either return to Mir 3 or join the beta test of the newly released MMO, Rift.
February 2011 saw the release of Trion World's new
MMO, Rift. With a high amount of interest from our clan we got off to a flying
start and soon progressed through both PvE and PvP content. However, Rift failed
to live up to the hype and our expectations and 6 months later we were forced to
disbanded our guild.
